Starting on Saturday 18 November and running every weekend until 23 December, this curated market brings together makers from Hull and the surrounding areas for a high quality event. I'll be there on Sunday 19th November, and then Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th, and Saturday 23rd of December. For the first event I'll be demonstrating on the potter's wheel and offering shoppers the chance to make a pot.
From 26-28 of August, this festival takes over the town centre of Lincoln, especially the area between the Castle and Cathedral. I'll be taking my stall there to supply festival goers with esoteric and unpleasant pottery.
From 1-3rd of September I'll be here with my full stall setup of pottery, potter's wheel sessions, and, if I can multi-task well enough, workshops. This has a great lineup, including The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, and Misty in Roots. Billed as a family festival, this has a reputation for a nice atmosphere and good beer!
A very relaxed affair at this ancient monument, considered to be the earthwork equivalent of Stonehenge, taking place over the weekend of 15-18th Sept.
Another festival with an amazing lineup, including Gong with Steve Hillage, and John Otway. Gong are in top form at the moment and their York gig recently was one of the best I've seen, and reminiscent of what I imagine an early Pink Floyd gig at the UFO club might have been like. John Otway is, quite frankly, a nutter, but despite this and his self-mockery is actually a very talented musician with a brilliant catalogue, including this!. This is one of the last outdoor events of the year, and is from 22-24th September. I'll be there with full stall, wheel, and possible workshops.
A mad weekend in this quintessential English seaside town, coinciding with Halloween. A mostly indoor event, this has a great selection of unusual stalls during the day, and music at night. Interesting acts this year include the hugely entertaining Cramps-influenced Vince Ripper and the Rodent Show, intense rockersTheatre of Hate, and The Membranes with their energetic front man John Robb. I'll be in the lovely pavillion victorian Theatre with my stall bedecked with atmospheric decor.
